Two weeks ago I was in Mississippi training
my two Judo National Champions that have
been tearing up the juvenile judo scene.

Arrived home on Thursday on the 29th at 11:45pm
and turned right around and headed to the airport
at 3:30am for a 5:15am flight for Cleveland, Ohio.

I am now in Cleveland, Ohio assisting in the training
camp of……..

I was told that I was incorrect.

There are a lot of things that I am…. but wrong is not one of them. Okay, that’s not true.

I’m wrong alot. But I really don’t believe that I’m wrong on this.

But not matter what the case, I’m loving the “internet/blog volleyball video game” that Dr. AnnMaria and I have going on here.

And I love Ronda, she knows that.

Please enjoy.

Here’s what I need for all to understand……

I remember talking with one of my mentors
back in 2002 when I was making my second
run at the Olympic Games and he asked me:

“Are your coaches full time Judo coaches
or do they do it as a hobby?”

I asked him, “Why do you ask that?”

He replied, “Because if they do it as a hobby,
they are going to treat your career as if it is
a hobby and there’s nothing worse than you
being serious and your coach not.”

Man that point hit home.

This is what causes people to use the following
phrases:

- It doesn’t matter if you win or lose, it’s how you
play the game

- Don’t worry….. you’ll do better next time

- Hey, you tried your best and THAT’S what’s
important.

- Don’t sweat it champ…. we’ll get ‘em next year.

- Just put two hands on the gi and play judo

These are the types of phrases that people
say when their investment in YOUR career
is incongruent with YOUR investment in your
career.

=====================
Sometimes You Have To
Get Some Professional
Services
=====================

Let’s just keep it, as the young folks say,
REAL!!!

You have no hope at all of being a professional
without acting like one.

One of the major things that I see in the sport
of judo is that the people do not do the
things that normal professionals do in professional
sports.

Case in point.

How many judo matches how you competed in
where you DID NOT HAVE YOUR COACH
review your video from your matches and provide
you with feedback?

If your answer is more than “1″ that’s too many

How many practices have you attended that
aren’t taped or recorded?

If you answer is more than “5″ that’s too many.

LOOK!!!!

How can you fix your mistakes and errors
without immediate feedback?!?!?!?!

====================
WHAT I DO IS NOT MAGIC
====================

People see the way that I have improved
the careers of some of my fighters
quickly and rapidly and think that I
have some type of secret.

Well, I do. It’s called Deliberate Practice
and HOURS AND HOURS OF VIDEO
study.

I DO THE THING THAT ALL OF THESE
OTHER COACHES DON’T DO.

And if they do actually do it, they cannot
do it like I can because I don’t have 20,
30 or 40 different people to do it for.

I keep a small group of clients and help
them achieve success.

Right now I want to do for you what
I do for some of my clients.

Please allow me to review your video.

Watch this video and fill out the survey
below and let me provide you with the
professional service that you need and
DESERVE for all the of the hard work
that you do.

Seriously, I want to review and critique one of your judo
videos, matches or practices.

However, I need your help in making that happen.

You see, I am still in the beginning stages of “relaunching”
and transferring over the majority of my online presence to
http://www.DrRhadiFerguson.com and since then I’ve had
an area for Video Review with a video review form on there
for quite some time, and while I have received some video
and some matches have been submitted, I would like to
receive more information from you to really make it beneficial
to you.

So here’s what I’ve done for you. I’ve created a new Judo
Video Submission survey that will help me really understand
your goals for your judo career and aspirations in the sport.

http://www.drrhadiferguson.com/video-review-page

With this detailed information, we can really help give
