[New Video] Video Reveals How To Instantly Increase Ippon Rate

Lets get real.

If you do Judo, you need to throw.

If you do Brazilian Jiujitsu there’s nothing like starting
out the match 2 – 0

If you do Sambo, I needn’t explain the extreme
advantage you have when you are ahead in the
score.

I want you to understand very clearly that the
gi, the kimono, or the kurta, is like a Rubik’s Cube.

It is a puzzle. An enigma. A riddle that some have
figured out, and that some haven’t.

It’s cool if you can figure out. All your friends are
amazed.

But it’s frustrating as H3LL when you CANNOT!

The holders of the secret, do not, will not, and
have not shared them with you.

If you think you know gripping or how to grip fight
and you do NOT have a FOOL-PROOF system
based upon rules, standards and exceptions
to the rules, then YOU HAVE NOTHING and
are fighting in the dark.

Right now is the time for you to stop being
pigheaded.

Stop being stubborn.

CLICK HERE TO WATCH THIS GROUNDBREAKING VIDEO NOW

Stop thinking that you KNOW it all, already
when you are STEADILY losing over and over
and over and over again.

Please, I’m begging you to get the help
that you need and to watch this video for
your own sake.

It costs NOTHING to watch.

Just pay attention and learn.

And make a quality decision so that you
can get the same information that I give
to the World Champions, Olympians, National
Champions and world class athletes
that I have coached and that they DO NOT
SHARE and keep in their back-pocket.

Take care.

What I Learned From Judo Which Has Helped My Boxing

Auto Date Wednesday, October 20th, 2010

=============
Introduction
=============

A lot of people ask me about Mixed Martial Arts and Judo.

And now that I’ve done a couple of fights and have trained for MMA and have trained fighter to do MMA I can tell you that a lot of my judo training has been very helpful.

Many people think that its about the techniques.

Well, it’s not.

What makes a lot of the American wrestlers good at Mixed Martial Arts is not that they know how to do double legs and single legs, it’s what they have learned from the wrestling culture…. the work ethic.

The one thing that I really learned and what really carried over from the sport of Judo for me is the understanding that SPARRING IS NOT as important as people think it is. IT IS IMPORTANT… it’s just that there are some other elements of importance in terms of development which must really be attended to.

=================
Here’s What I Have
Learned From Judo.
The Importance of…
==================

Tandoku Renshyu

Tandoku Renshyu is shadow training. This is an important piece that is often left out of the developmental curriculum of beginner and advanced practitioners. Most people only do this and learn this when it comes to BOXING. It is important in all phases and aspects of the Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) game.

Sotai Renshyu

Sotai Renshyu is free training without resistance. This is where you can actually *see* the technique and do the technique.
and then you have……

Yaku Soku Geiko

Yaku Soku Geiko is “chance” training, where you actually get to do specific training in identifying the moment for attacking so that you can not only *see* it but also *do* it.

Judo taught me HOW to practice and how to train and let me know that EVERYTHING is not a hard grind all the time. Some things have to be done without resistance and soft in order to learn them.

Mental training is important and so is slow technical training. The hard physical training, to be honest with you, isn’t the most difficult. EVERYBODY knows that has to be done. The hard part is being discipline to do the slow and boring stuff right.

===============
Slow and Boring
===============

When it comes to learning newaza and studying the game in the gi, there is no comparison to learning from 2 of the best in the world when it comes to combining Judo groundwork and Brazilian Jiujitsu.

In the Newaza Made Easy program, 4x Olympian and 1999 World Champion Jimmy Pedro and 2004 Olympian and BJJ Black Belt Rhadi Ferguson, show you how to not only do the right moves, but EXACTLY how they should be done in order for you to be successful on the mat.

Don’t get caught up in whether its “gi” or “no gi”. What’s important, if you are an MMA competitor is developing a wide range of depth and breadth technically. And if you are a Judo player, if I need to explain why you need to at least take a peek at this program, then you really aren’t a Judo player now are you? LOL

Introduction
================

Let me say this right now.

If it wasn’t for many people and many factors, I would
NEVER have become an Olympian.

Lloyd Irvin was one of those INSTRUMENTAL people
in my life who helped me become an Olympian in 2004.

Lloyd taught me the importance of repping.

How to rep and rep and rep and rep and rep and rep
and rep and rep and rep and rep and rep and rep until
your abdominals start cramping and the skin is worn off
of your knuckles. To the point where the people
are cleaning up and telling you, “It’s time to go home.”

I’ve repped gi chokes until I wore the skin off of my neck
like I had been wearing a cheap gold chain.

I’ve repped armbar escapes to the point where I’ve had to
ice my shoulder and elbow from it getting tweaked from
doing so many reps (because some reps are better than others).

LOL

I’ve done reps until I thought the muscles in my feet were going
to tear because the bottom of my feet would cramp from
doing jumping guard passes for 5 minutes straight.

I can tell you right now that Lloyd IS FREAKING INTENSE!!!!!!

When I taught Lloyd How To Grip Fight, he brought that same
intensity to grip fighting.

He repped, until he got it.

I was his BJJ Student and he was my Judo student and
we taught each other until we went from each others student
to becoming each others practice partner.

As a matter of fact, with only one year of GRIP TRAINING, Lloyd
Irvin won a National Judo Championship.

Let me repeat that.

WITH ONE YEAR OF GRIP FIGHTING TRAINING. Lloyd Irvin won a National
Judo Championship… with no problem.

Ask Lloyd to do an uchikomi and you’ll die from laughter.

Ask him to show you Uchimata, and you’ll wonder who in the hell is this
doe-doe bird.

Ask him to show you how to do an ouchi to taiotoshi combination and
he’ll probably scratch his head.

But if you f—- around and set the clock for 5 minutes and tell him, let’s
randori, YOU HAD BETTER pack your effing lunch my friend because he
WILL BEAT YOU FROM “HERE” TO “THERE” and back.

And throw you with all the throws that I mentioned previously with NO problem.

Why?

Because he’s been exposed to the secrets of Judo.

TO GET THE SECRETS OF GRIPFIGHTING CLICK HERE

The things which allow you to COMPLETELY shortcut the learning process
and go right from zero to hero in no time flat.

And not only has he done it, but he’s taught it to his students.

And not only to his student but the schools in his affliliation.

Every Lloyd Irvin affiliated school that I visit KNOWS the system.

They are winning Judo and BJJ tournaments with the Grip
Fighting System.

It’s bananas!

Now, I know some traditional judokas want to know….
“Does Lloyd know the names of throws?”

Yes. Of course.

And he losves and respects the game and sport of Judo.

As a matter of fact, he’s hired a full time Judo coach to teach
him and his students. He respects the sport and loves judo as
I said. But most importantly…..

He believes the same thing that I do and that is…..

THERE’S NO REASON TO LOSE JUST BECAUSE YOU DON’T
KNOW A LOT.

You can win while learning. Losing happens, it’s part of the journey. There’s no need
for you to inject it in the process unnecessarily. What you need to be doing is finding
a way to win ALL THE TIME!

It’s just something that happens the more you compete. As you compete, it
will happen, but you don’t have to MAKE it part of the process.

3 Surefire Ways To Improve Your Newaza Game

Auto Date Tuesday, October 19th, 2010

=============
Introduction
=============

By now I’m sure you’ve heard doggone every single reason why you should get Jimmy Pedro 12 Month Newaza Coaching Program.

But for some reason, some of you have chosen not to invest in it.

And quite honestly I’m SHOCKED, but I am going to do my best to IMPROVE your judo game.

I’m committed to helping you. I’ve told you that before and I’ll tell you again.

So with that being said, let me give you these quality tips on How You Can Improve Your Newaza Game.

==============
Surefire Way
#1 To Improve
Your Newaza Game
===============

#1 Stop Being Upset With The Refs

Listen, I AM GUILTY OF THIS so please don’t think that I’m getting on you. I’m also getting on myself.
But quite honestly, getting upset with the refs is NOT going to change the “matte” call that just happened, NOR is it going to help you get more time next time you or the person you are coaching hits the mat. If anything, its going to make the matte call come faster. Remember, the refs are human too. They get upset just like you, the only difference is that they are in control and the new rules have made it impossible for you to get the crowd on your side like Ronaldo Veitia used to do.

If you don’t know who Veitia is, he’s the head Women’s Judo Coach for Cuba. He used to be the MOST influential person in the arena under the old rules because he would play the crowd against the refs. He was a GENIUS at this. Unfortunately, this method of coaching (coercion) is not available anymore. If you would like more information on this, however, I can refer you to Robert Cialdini’s book “The Psychology of Persuasion.”

But lets get back on track….

Here’s the bottom line. Getting UPSET does not HELP you in terms of getting better at judo. So ALL THOSE MINUTES, HOURS AND SECONDS THAT YOU SPEND COMPLAINING AND WALKING AROUND ASKING YOUR FRIENDS that question…. you know the one I’m talking about…… this one…. “Did you SEE my match?” LOL

Instead of using all that time for that, gather up all those seconds, hours and minutes and focus on getting better. Focus on changing what you can change.

==============
Surefire Way
#2 To Improve
Your Newaza Game
===============

#2 Do The Techniques The Refs Are Familiar With

I have confession to make!!

I absolutely hate that sankaku choke and turn that tori does on uke from the front when uke is in the turtle position. IT IS HORRIBLE and it’s something that we laugh at in Brazilian Jiujitsu. I’m not sure how you can lay there and let somebody do you like that. Well, I do know how. In judo the fatigue is so intense that sometimes you just get lazy and there are positions inherent in Judo that are not in BJJ because you have to FIRST stop the throw before you can begin to attack in newaza or defend, if you are the person being attacked. This changes the flow and order of operations sometimes. Well, alot of times.

Because defending a throw, more often than not, requires you to put your hand down in some type of way, or your arm and this presents different attack scenarios that are more likely to be seen in judo than in BJJ.

For example, in BJJ, if thrown, I can immediately begin my armbar transition or move to my guard, whereas in Judo, I have to “stop” the throw, wait for a brief moment to make sure there is no “continuation” of the throw and then I must defend and/or attack.

Therefore, under these circumstances there are certain things that the referee is looking for and some refs just don’t believe the person who has defended the throw is ready nor willing to go on the offensive.

And quite HONESTLY some refs are REALLY biased, even though most won’t admit it, but they don’t really want you “using” the other person’s hard earned attack to win the match in newaza. They want YOU to get the fight to the ground and then use YOUR throw to win the match.

==============
Surefire Way
#3 To Improve
Your Newaza Game
===============

#3 Study, Study, Study

As basic as it seems, you MUST study your craft.

You cannot just sit back and think you are going to get good at Newaza by watching videos and going to class.

Get out a pen and paper.

Write down the steps to the move. Visualize it.

Do the move. Ask pertinent questions about the move.

Learn the move, teach it to someone else. Video yourself doing it over and over again. Critique your repetitions. Try to put 10, 20, 30, 40, perfect reps in series.

Really STUDY this area of the game.

There’s no better way to do this than to go here and make a quality decision today >>>http://www.NewazaMadeEasy.com <<<

This Will Affect Your Ability To Throw!

Auto Date Wednesday, October 6th, 2010

=============
Introduction
=============

Do you know what an aversive stimulus is?

Here’s what it is by definintion:

aversive stimulus – any negative stimulus to which an organism will learn to make a response that avoids it

Now let me explain.

If you don’t have good newaza and YOUR opponent does, YOU will be apprehensive about doing your throws, or at least certain throws.

You may even modify what you do because of his or her newaza skill.

As a matter of fact, if  you MAKE them “pay” when they hit the mat after attempting a throw, they will think twice about throwing or make the attempt “half-a__ed” in order to hurry up and get off the mat or defend themselves on the ground.

If you want to *see* clearly how you can STOP someone from doing their favorite attacks by implementing strong, solid newaza, just look at this video:

Here you see Flavio Canto tweaking his opponents arm first. This stops him from being able to post and do his throws, then he just runs when he hits the mat.

The PERSON clearly has better Tachiwaza than Flavio, but he can’t do it because he KNOWS he will end up on the ground and Flavio will dominate him.

Thus Flavio’s newaza strength is an aversive stimulus to his opponent’s tachiwaza implementation.

As a weaker Tachiwaza player I had to employ this strategy and did it soundly.

If you want to see how I did it and learn how you can do it too, just go here:

>>> http://www.livejudo.com/?page_id=198 <<<

==============
Is Newaza Important
==============

Is Newaza Important in Judo?

You bet!

For those that think that there is no time for Newaza in judo, you couldn’t be more incorrect.

You have to ESTABLISH yourself as a newaza player. Once you do that, you are given more time.

I remember watching matches of Jimmy Pedro and I thought he’d been given so much time that it was RIDICULOUS.

But he built up a reputation of being a solid newaza player, as Canto has and thus they are given time on the mat.

Not to mention, they know what in the heck they are doing down there so they are given time because they are progressing.

If you want to get “more time” in newaza, it’s easy.

You just have to KNOW what to do. We’ll help you,  >>> http://www.NewazaMadeEasy.com <<<

“BJJ Is Nothing More Than Judo Newaza”

Auto Date Tuesday, October 5th, 2010

============
Introduction
============

I travel a lot…. well, not as much as I used to, but more than I care to  :-)

Soooo, I get to hear a little bit of everything and I also get asked a lot of questions.

I always try to tell the truth but sometimes, I just nod and smile or shrug my shoulders because I’m not being asked a question so that I can answer truthfully, I’m being asked so that someone can make their argument more solid with my opinion, so sometimes, I just try to stay neutral and undertand that I get paid to answer questions and solve problems. And I just shut up.

One point of contention that I get all the tiem from teh judo community is that  “BJJ Is Nothing More Than Judo Newaza”.

Well……..Here’s what I would suggest.

I would suggest that you ask a high level BJJ player and a high level Judo player and ask them that and see what they say.

Personally, I don’t think its something to argue about. I think that it’s something to learn from.

So that’s what I did.

I got with one of the best Newaza practitioners in the World, Jimmy Pedro and he and I put together a Newaza Coaching Program which  covers the similarities and differences of judo’s newaza and Brazilian Jiujitsu.

Hundreds of people have been  helped through this program and I think you can be too >>> http://www.NewazaMadeEasy.com <<<

The Impact Of Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) On Judo

Auto Date Monday, October 4th, 2010

============
Introduction
============

I’ve been coaching, training, consulting and working with Mixed Martial Artists, coaches and trainers for some time now.  And I love it. I have been able to offer advice from my sporting experiences in judo, from my professional experiences in Strength and Conditioning and my management experiences in terms of creating a collaborative teams approach in terms of building and creating proper, positive and goal-oriented training environments and camps.

I must say that working, training and competing is Mixed Martial Arts is very exciting. There’s so much to it.

I have people ask me all the time about MMA and if it has taken away from the sport of judo and from amateur sports such as wrestling.

Well, yes and no.

Here’s what REALLY happened….

==============
Mixed Martial Arts
is beating judo at….
==============

The sport of Mixed Martial Arts is beating Judo at the game of marketing.

The sport of Judo has been marketed in a fragmented fashion.

Hell, most people don’t even know what judo is and the other half don’t know or understand what the rules are.

The culture is messed up and it doesn’t allow for fans and athletes to be critical of the judges or refs. Without this, its a sport that is trying to hard to define itself by what it isn’t instead of what it is.

Case in point…. Judo took out the leg grabbing out of the sport because it supposedly wasn’t good for the sport and they wanted Judo to look like Judo. The ONLY problem with this is that by definition, the statements means that what people were doing before WAS NOT judo and they most certainly were.

As a matter of fact, the powers-that-be, removed JUDO throws from the sport of Judo so that Judo could look more like……. JUDO!

Now for all of my logic based  individuals, my attorneys and my friends that love competitive discourse, you can SEE how this line of reasoning is silly at best.

Not only that…. It confuses the people that use the product (the practitioners).  And the more people you confuse…. the more people you lose.

For example, when you are flipping the channel and you can’t catch what is happening right away….. what do you do?

You turn the channel. CORRECT.

Well, in the sports entertainment community we have the folllowing options (in terms of medium to hard physical contact):

- Pro Wrestling
- Football
- Boxing
- Mixed Martial Arts
- Muay Thai
- Full Contact Karate
- Wrestling
- Rugby
- Hockey
- Brazilain Jiujitsu
- Judo

If there are any hurdles in place in terms of practicing a sport, people will turn the channel and select another sport of practice.

But just like the sport of judo has changed and has turned some people away, it has also attracted some people as well.

However, I think the sport makes a very BIG mistake by trying to differentiate itself from BJJ and MMA instead of dealing with the similarities and riding off of the MMA hype train.

You don’t have to take my word on this.

One of THE BEST martial arts instructors and marketers of OUR TIME, Lloyd Irvin, preaches this emphatically.

==================================
http://www.mixedmartialartsmillionaires.com/
==================================

Judo should embrace Karo Parisyan, Manny Gamburyan, Yoshida, Ishii, Akiyama, Takimoto, Rick Hawn, Christophe Leninger and Ronda Rousey. (and many others)

============
Why?
============

Well, the sport of wrestling was dying…. MMA has given it a resurgence because people see wrestling as being necessary in order to be good at MMA. And on television you constantly hear the phrases:

“good wrestling background”
“ncaa championship wrestler”
“sprawl and brawl”
“good wrestling defense”
“wrestling takedowns”

And you know what this does?

This makes people look for wrestling clubs or look to add wrestling into their school’s curriculum and the sport grows…. AT THE GRASSROOTS LEVEL.

HERE’S WHAT THE IJF SHOULD DO!!

I HOPE SOMEONE FROM THE IJF IS READING THIS TODAY!!

==============
Here’s What You
Should Do
==============

Create a separate link on your site or page that is dedicated to Judo Players who participate and have excelled in the sport of Mixed Martial Arts.

Why?

To display to the rest of the world THE POWER, Flexibility, and Robustness of the Sport of Judo. A Judoka’s professional pursuits don’t have any bearing on your organization or your goals or ideals.  It DOES NOT hurt the Judo brand at all to mention that Allen Coage was a World Class Professional Wrestler and an Olympic Medallist. It does not hurt at all to mention that Yoshida was an Olympic Champion and a SUPERB MMA Fighter.

And you could even have those individuals speak about the benefits of Judo and what they were able ot bring to the sport of MMA from Judo.

AND ITS NOT ABOUT IF YOU AGREE WITH IT OR NOT!!!!!! THAT IS BESIDES THE POINT!!!!

YOU ARE NOT IN COMPETITION WITH MMA UNLESS YOU CHOOSE TO BE!!!!

============
This Is The Future
============

Once Kids start getting attracted to this…….. Judo is DONE!

Judo is not like Tae Kwon Do or the other martial arts. People do those because they DON’T WANT TO TOUCH anyone or grapple.

Unless, people see Judo as a quality means of improving in MMA.

For this reason, you must GET AHEAD of the game and embrace the sport of MMA, not alienate yourself from it.

=================
If Judo Doesn’t Define
Itself By What It Is Instead
Of What It Isn’t. It Will Suffer
The Same Fate Of…..
=================

If Judo Doesn’t Define Itself By What It Is Instead Of What It Isn’t. It Will Suffer The Same Fate Of the WCW.

That’s right.  World Championship Wrestling. They were so focused on being the anti-WWE, that they didn’t focus on what they were. The new organization which Hulk Hogan is a part of TNA, is not making that mistake. They ARE most definitely using sex to sell their show, they are using more gimmicks and less wrestling and they do understand that they are in the entertainment business.

They got rid of the funny looking 6-sided ring and are using a regular ring and are utilizing former WWE wrestler and are building a brand and UTILIZING the MMA hype machine, as is the WWE.

This is smart business.

Look at the video section to the right in the link below. Scroll down and you will notice that MICHIGAN STATE DOES NOT RUN FROM THE FACT THAT THEY HAD A UFC CHAMPION. They embrace it and use it as a recruiting tool!!! Duhhhh!!!!!!!   Not doing so would be asinine!

I definitely don’t want to belabor this point, but YOU asked me the question, “How Is MMA Impacting Judo?”

So there’s the answer.

Now let me say this.

I love the sport of Judo. My son practices the sport. I pay for him to practice the sport and I still practice the sport myself.

But, I also enjoy MMA.
