We have a DUMMY among us!
Somebody wrote the Judo Crusader, “What’s funny is that you seem to think that anytime someone throws in a wrestling match they are suddenly doing judo!”
This bona fide dummy CAN’T read. The Judo Crusader nor any of the posters ever said that people who are wrestling are doing judo. What the Judo Crusader said is that Judo Throws WORK in wrestling competition.
And although you mentioned it, the Judo Crusader knows Sergei, Kevin Jackson, Van Arsdale and many high level wrestler and they all agree that the sport of Judo and sambo has helped develop and define the sport of wrestling, just like wrestling has helped define the current day sport of judo.
Only a man with a combative and argumetative spirit can find a reason to argue when one doesn’t exist. But you are more than welcome to post here at any time and I will allow and approve your posts.
Now moving right along………..
Grip Fighting
You cannot fight for grips without any grip strength. The first thing that you should do is increase your grip strength. We’ve all been in a sitiuation where we have just felt helpless because our opponents grip was just soooooo strong. Well, now I want you to be that person. The person that locks on to your opponents gi like a vice grip.
So start strengthening your grip. If you don’t know what to do – start with:
Pullups
Towel Pullups
Farmers Walks
Curls
Reverse Curls
Deadlifts.
Until next time.
